In an effort to collaborate and share resources, "Best Practices" groups are available for your participation. Groups meet via teleconference on a regular basis and may have opportunities for face-to-face collaborations during the year.

Open Accessibility Alliance

The Open Accessibility Alliance (OAA) supports the development of open source tools for evaluating the accessibility of web based resources and the development of coding practices for inclusive web design (i.e. accessible to people with disabilities). This group is currently inactive.

IBHE Web Accessibility Collaboration Group

IBHE Web Accessibility Collaboration Group supports the implementation of the Illinois Information Technology Accessibility Act (IITAA) in higher education institutions throughout Illinois. Membership is open to anyone interested in supporting the accessibility of web based resources in higher education in Illinois.
